UPSC INTERVIEW GUIDANCE PROGRAM
UPSC Personality Test is the third level of UPSC Civil Services Examination.It is also known as the Interview stage/round.The objective of UPSC interview is to check the suitability of candidates for a career in Civil Services.It is not a knowledge test.The specialized and general knowledge of candidates are already tested at written(prelims and main) examination level.
Questions are asked on a wide range of topics in UPSC interview and The fundamental questions can be related to hobbies,interests of candidates,their general awareness about domestic issues and international affairs and situational questions.
The way a candidate handles a question/the approach of the question,the administrative skills,the personality traits are the factors which shall be observed during such a stage.
The IAS interview in general runs for 20 minutes and the IAS interview questions are similar to discussion between the candidate and UPSC board members and are based on information furnished on DAF form by the candidate.
It is a common assumption by the candidates that prior work experience can be helpful in UPSC IAS interview.However,the truth is that no such benefits are available in UPSC interview from UPSC to the candidates having prior work experience.All the candidates are given equal treatment the commission.After the interviews,merit list is prepared by interview and UPSC declares UPSC Civil Services Final Results in its website.
